EU-New Zealand Free Trade Agreement: Rules of Origin Guidance

馃摚The European Commission has released a guidance document detailing the application of the rules of origin within the EU-New Zealand Free Trade Agreement, effective from May 1, 2024.

鈩癸笍According to this agreement, EU exporters sending consignments of products originating in the EU valued over EUR 6,000 must provide a statement of origin. This statement enables importers in New Zealand to benefit from preferential tariff rates.

鈻讹笍To issue this statement, EU exporters must be registered in the REX system and include their REX number on the document.
